Canon EOS 40D

I upgraded my camera to Canon's 40D and am absolutely in love with it. I told myself that before I upgrade camera body I had to first realize my other body's limitation, and that happened with the "Grandmother" shot. It's low light noise led to adjustments that I can't afford to make in the future.

This camera is fast. The lenses I put on it just come alive. I can't wait to put this in practice in the field.

Fast and beautiful. This prime lens captures anything (good, bad, whatever) gets in front of it.

My "go-to" lens that stayed on my camera body before I switched to the 24-70 "L" was this one. I like the range it gives and it's versatility. For the price, you would be challenged to find a more practical lens.

It's a HUGE improvement from the body flash and its saved me in lots of low-light situations. It takes 4 AA batteries and goes through them fast, recovery time seems like hours when the batteries start to get worn, even though it's only several seconds. Seconds may as well be years when your shot is missed though.
